So yesterday I started a book recommended to me by a very good friend of mine.
Influence – By Robert Cialdini.
Very Interesting book. If you haven’t read it as a marketer. Just do.
He talked about so many shortcuts to the human subconscious.
But one stood out to me. So far…
It was the Expensive = Good _Shortcut.
It made me think back to all the times I have bought things I eventually regretted. But didn’t seem so at the time because they were expensive.
Apparently people (like myself) in this day and age no longer seek all the facts before making a purchase …
…we now rely on expert opinions and price. To shorten the process.
